Red dot

I'm heading down to Orchard to meet my mum ^^ I was thinking about a lot of things since I got home yesterday from Red dot, might be the effect of alcohol that started the thinking.

I've heard about red dot serving great brew of beer that were unique. So yesterday I went down with my drinking kakis to Red dot. We didn't reserve the table and when I wanted to reserve, they were not taking any more reservation.

We took a bus down to Dempsey after our talk and student Forum at IBN and walked over to red dot. It rained and Kai fell >< when we got to red dot, I requested for first aid kit cause I wanted to help kai clean up her wound and disinfect it. They brought out the kit and even got their resident nurse to help Kai applied the disinfectant. The guy was really nice ^^ he even came back to check on her wounds later on in the evening.

It rained and without reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. The seat we got was outdoor and it was just wiped dry. When we got to the table, the seats were still a little damp. The table was bare too. I was still thinking about the candles that other tables had.

We got our menu and then decided to order 4 mains and a pizza. They didn't inform us about how long we had to wait and the waitor wasn't sure if the pizza we ordered had beef.the guy that took our orders looked blur. We didn't know what drinks to get so we ordered a sampler set before decided on a tower of summer ale.

It was too dark to take any photos. Vith and I had our food served first. That was like... Half an hour later. And kai and adhi got their mains close to an hour. I was halfway through my fries by then. When we got all 4 mains, the waitress that we prompt about our food multiple times went to check if we had any more orders and we said we were still missing the pizza that we had special request - not to have pepperoni on it.

She went to the kitchen to check and came back informing us that they weren't serving pizza that day. We were all so pissed off. If the restaurant weren't serving pizza that day shouldn't we be informed when we were ordering? And they didn't even inform that there wasn't pizza after we asked about the food like thrice? Their service were ridiculously slow. The only thing that came fast was the bill.

After the pizza dispute we ordered their wings and another main because adhi wasn't satisfied and we were all so looking forward for pizza. We ordered a lava cake as dessert and it wasn't as nice as I thought it will be. The plate setting was great, but the lava cake came with the lava flowing already. The best part about lava cake is when you poke in the knife or fork and witness the chocolate lava flow out right? That's like the best part and the surprise element. How can they serve lava cake that wasn't in a cake form to begin with? It wasn't that warm as well and the chocolate wasn't the quality ones. It wasn't worth that 15 dollars for it. I bet I could make more than the amount of cake at better quality with 15.

The bill came to be 200+ for 4 people and given the poor service, I really think it wasn't worth it. Food was great, just not the service.
