My late review..

I ended my 2012 review post in April about my trip to Kilimanjaro. It was indeed a trip I will never ever forget. I was just talking to Kai, Rebekah and Vithya the other day and indeed, it was the furthest place, highest place that I've been and also.. the toughest and most torturous thing that I have done. Imagine.. walking in the cold and dark and the whole journey to the summit and down took... half a day and we only got to rest until about 6 at the base camp. We did stop back at high camp for lunch and pack up our stuff but.. it was not exactly proper rest.

After I came back from Kili, it was holidays. I think it was just two weeks of holidays before I had to start on my Internship and FYP at NUS.

Here's the photo taken on Ahgong's birthday with Dear, Nic and the family ^^ Ahgong look so cute here. hahahas. And my mum really resembles my ahgong. Oh, and there's my dad with the super cute boyish hair

And here is me still with my long tails. Heez

And not forgetting Yunrui's birthday in April ^^ Went to Timbre with the girls after Astons. ^^

Not forgetting V-Jie's 21st Birthday at NSRCC

Photo with the GTS and here's one with V-Jie

My eyes looked so small here. Hahahas.

I went to Desaru with a group of friends after school started. It was not exactly a planned trip but... it was fun.

Here's one of the photos taken with the clown. The trip there was really fun and we had dinner and did line dancing as well.

My 7 months worth of ITP/FYP was really an eye opening to me. It kind of made me rethink if being a researcher was really what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. A passion in science one thing but having considered the pros and cons, I guess it wasn't really something I want to.

Just like the IBN Student forum I went to yesterday, Dr Rose-Mary shared about how she didn't want to spend 9-5 in the office (but eventually she spent more time). Then Dr Ming Han also shared about how he converted from a medical doctor (a physician) to a research scientist. He shared this story about a doctor turned politician. It's true that doctors will want to save lives but.. they do it one by one. If really saving lives is the key, being a politician definitely can save more.

Lab photo plus photo of food that was taken on Dr Chu's Birthday ^^ Dr Justin Chu one of the nicest lecturers/mentors/professors that I've known. He's a really fatherly figure in the lab and his concern for the individuals in the lab was really like a father. He's really good tempered as well ^^

I skipped the kili sharing session in May. It was awesome ^^

End of Part 2.
To be continued...
