The world coming to an end, with Dongzhi

一早想到今天是冬至，又记得今天是预测的世界末日。也许也许是想要我们在仅剩的时间里和家人团圆。

I'm awake bright and early ^^ after so much speculation about the world coming to an end today, according to the Lunar calendar, today is Dongzhi. It is a day where the day is the shortest in the year.

I remember Grandma used to tell me that Dongzhi is a very important occasion, just like or even more important than Chinese New Year. I remember when I was much younger, I stayed with Grandma and on this day I would (if I can...) Wake up early to help with the making of tangyuan, or glutinous rice ball. Grandma like making them plain with pink dye added to half of the dough. So we will end up with... Half pink half white. A really beautiful combination. I like the chewy taste of it.

I shall head to grandma house now. ^^
